Specialist from very different backgrounds work at Arthe. We believe it is important to appreciate everyones input. Each new colleague is an opportunity for us to grow as a team. From your first working day you will be considered a full member of our team. Your unbiased opinions and state of the art academical knowlegde are valuable contributions to our team meetings, and you will be actively invited to share your knowledge with others.

Traineeship(HBO+ / WO)

This traineeship is intended for ambitious new employees with a bachelors- or masters degree and less than 3 years of working experience.

During the two years of the traineeship you will get to know the company and your colleagues, and develop the skill set to work on projects independently. Perhaps more importantly: in these two years you will explore your ambitions and discover what type of work suits you best, so that you can plan the next steps of your career at Arthe accordingly.

Training on the job

With you mentor – usually your team leader) we will plan for you to be part of the design team for three to four challenging projects, to introduce you to different aspects of our work field. Together we will determine which projects exactly and what your role in these projects will be, so we can align this with your interests and ambitions. In each project you will be working closely with an experienced colleague who can ‘show you the ropes’.

Courses

During your traineeship you will take a few courses to develop your soft skills, such as:

• Communication skills
• Consultancy skills

Depending on your academic background, the dutch standard course on geotechnical engineering (CGF1) will be added to that.

Four times a year you will discuss your progress with your mentor. What is your next challenge? Can you expand your skills further with a course or workshop? Do you need extra support? Technical knowledge is important here, but also communication and organisation skills, negotiation skills, commercial impact and developing your own leadership style.
Coaching by your mentor will happen as needed.
